You want to watch Discovery+ on your big screen. You own a Samsung Smart TV. The first step involves checking your hardware. Discovery+ works on Samsung Smart TVs released in 2017 or later. Models from 2015 and 2016 no longer support the app as of October 2021.
Check Your Compatibility
Identify your TV's model year before you try to install anything. Check the model code on the back of your TV or in the Settings menu under Support > About This TV.
Your TV must run the Tizen 3.0 operating system or a newer version. If you see a model year of 2017 to 2025, you are good to go. Older devices lack the necessary hardware power and software security to run the modern Discovery+ app.
Install the App

Select Install.

Grab your phone or computer. Visit discovery plus.com/samsung or the activation link shown on your TV screen. Log in to your account. Enter the 6-digit code from your TV. Your TV screen refreshes instantly. You now have access to the library.
Troubleshoot Common Issues
Technology sometimes fails. If the app crashes or freezes, try these fixes.
Cold Boot: Hold the Power button on your remote for 5 seconds until the TV turns off and on again.
Update Software: Go to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now.
Reinstall: Delete the app and install it again to clear corrupted cache data.
